The State Department said it is warning Americans about possible terrorist attacks in the country and advises citizens to avoid busy or highly populated areas.
These areas include publication transportation hubs and recreational locations such as malls, clubs, parks and more.
“Terrorist groups continue plotting possible attacks in the United Kingdom. Terrorists may attack with little or no warning, targeting tourist locations, transportation hubs, markets/shopping malls, local government facilities, hotels, clubs, restaurants, places of worship, parks, major sporting and cultural events, concerts, educational institutions, airports, and other public areas,” the State Department wrote on its website.
The State Department advised Americans about incidents of violence in Northern Ireland as well.
“There is also risk of isolated violence by dissident groups in Northern Ireland, focused primarily on police and military targets,” it added.
