A business class passenger flying a long-haul flight was abruptly awoken and drenched from the waist down in another man’s urine.
On December 27, Jerome Gutierrez from Hillsborough, California, was touring on a United flight from San Francisco to Manilla when the disgusting incident occurred.
Gutierrez’s stepdaughter Nicole Cornell described the incident, and stated: “He was asleep and buckled in and was surprised when he looked at the man and thought he was dreaming.”
After the person completed the act, Gutierrez realized he was fully soaked from his abdomen down and was solely 4 hours into his 15-hour-long flight.
Although the flight crew gave him pajamas to change into, Cornell stated that United Airlines didn’t do enough for her stepfather or for the biohazard risk.
She stated: “They put the needs of the airline before my stepdad’s health. I am so disgusted and in shock with how United Airlines handled this. That is a biohazard, and the plane should’ve turned around to address this issue.”
According to Cornell, United flight attendants tried to calm the scenario and requested Gutierrez not to method the person in concern that there can be a confrontation, and he would change into violent.
A United spokesperson confirmed the incident, referring to it merely as a “passenger disturbance.”
They stated that the airline requested police to meet the plane when it arrived in Manila on Saturday morning.
The passenger offered no clarification for such a revolting act. In an try to evade legal repercussions, the person who urinated reportedly pleaded with Gutierrez for mercy and never to pursue fees.
United Airlines has verified that the passenger is now prohibited from boarding any future flights with the provider.
