Disney Dream cruise nightmare after little girl falls overboard – Cruises – Travel


Passengers onboard the Disney Dream cruise ship have been witnesses to a nightmarish incident when a little girl fell overboard from the fourth deck of the ship into the sea. 

The incident unfolded on Sunday morning when the 130,000-ton vessel made its manner back from Disney’s Lookout Cay to Fort Lauderdale at round 11:15 a.m.

According to witnesses, a little girl plunged into the Atlantic Ocean from the ship earlier than her father jumped in to avoid wasting her, DailyMail.com reported. 

A TikTok person below the username Chandler Sphynx recorded all the incident as she seen “some kind of commotion.”

“Then there was this awful scream from what I assume is the mother, and then this massive splash,” the person advised People.

“It sounded like hitting pavement, nothing like if you jump into a pool. It was so loud,” she recalled. 

The ships loudspeakers quickly alerted these onboard with “MOB port side” which stands for Man Overboard which propmpted them to hurry to the railings to see what occurred. 

“I didn’t think they’d find the. The splash when he went in was SO loud,” the person wrote online. 

As quickly because the incident happened, Disney’s crew hit the waters in a yellow rescue vessel with 4 crew members onboard as the daddy-daughter duo struggled to remain afloat because the ship floated between Nassau and Grand Bahama Island.

Video footage confirmed the 2 floating within the ocean as rings and life jackets amongst different floatation gadgets have been thrown onto the waters. 

The crew managed to rescue them after 20 minutes as the daddy miraculously managed to keep his daughter’s head above water regardless of the uneven waves. 

“The crew aboard the Disney Dream swiftly rescued two guests from the water,” a assertion from Disney Cruise Line learn. “We commed our crew members for their exceptional skills and prompt actions, which ensured the safe return of both guests to the ship within minutes.”

The ship’s captain confirmed the incident whereas addressing passengers, urging them to comply with security protocols for the trip. 

Chandler advised People that as she watched the incident unfold together with her 9-yr-outdated daughter in tow, she was gripped with concern. 

“I had to tell my daughter they were probably gone because they usually can’t find people who fall,” she mentioned. “I didn’t think they’d find them.”

How the kid managed to fall into the water regardless of the ship having protecting plexiglass obstacles on deck 4 is unknown. 

Disney officers are investigating the incident by reviewing security footage to forestall such alarming incidents sooner or later.
